JEWISH ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVE
The Jewish Environmental Initiative is an 8-week, spring semester exploration at the intersection of Sustainability, Judaism, and the Earth.
Climate change and global environmental degradation are two of the most pressing concerns of our lifetime. The Jewish Environmental Initiative promotes Jewish action in seeking to solve these crises. 12 students will engage in a semester of probing Jewish approaches towards, and thinking about, the environment and sustainability. Students will have the opportunity to learn from and connect to campus and community leaders that are actively working towards global solutions.
The Jewish Environmental Initiative is facilitated by JRP's Director and Senior Jewish Educator, Rabbi Gabe Greenberg, and includes visits by prominent community and campus faculty and professionals.
