Jewish Life Liaison Application

Becoming a JLL

The Jewish Life Liaison program is a prestigious position. To be chosen as a JLL, students must go through an application and interview process. JLLs are chosen from undergraduate residents living in the College Houses. Applicants should be outgoing, creative, mature, responsible and interested in creating vibrant Jewish life in their College House community. All levels of Jewish knowledge or religious observance are encouraged to apply.

What will You Be Doing?

Each Liaison will be expected to initially attend an orientation meeting and then be present at weekly meetings with the other Jewish Life Liaisons and the Jewish Life Liaison Coordinator. Jewish Life Liaisons will be paid a stipend and will have the opportunity to attend special leadership trainings, education Jewish workshops, and conferences. The Liaison will be responsible to develop three to four programs each semester. The programs should respond to the needs of the particular College House and be open to the entire College House community. The Jewish Life Liaison should be accessible and willing to distribute materials to residents such as information on Jewish Holidays and Israel and other topics.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2008-2009 academic year. Positions will be filled on a rolling basis.
